Amadee Castenell Jr.
Amadee Joseph Castenell, Jr. entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 26 at the age of 74. Born in New Orleans on April 19, 1950, Amadee was a talented musician. Over the course of his career, he played alongside many musical legends and was a member of New Orleans' own Chocolate Milk band. He is survived by his wife Priscilla; children Nicole Pichon (Doland), Erica Castenell Manalang, Alicia Castenell, Amadee "Dee" Castenell III (Dot), Jesse Bless (Kate) and Joshua Bourgeois (David); grandchildren Wednesday Castenell, Case Manalang, Madison, Elijah and Jacob Pichon, and Matthew, Tedy and Elsie Bless; and his brother Aaron. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria, his father Amadee Sr. and his brother Andrè Sr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip St. in New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
