Frédéric François Chopin^{[n 1]} (born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin;^{[n 2]} 1 March &#;&#; 17 October ) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic period, who wrote primarily for solo piano. Chopin was born in Żelazowa Wola and grew up in Warsaw, which in became part of Congress Poland.
