FICCI & CII’s exec council meets to converge at BGBS ’25

Kolkata: For the third time in succession, the national executive council meetings of apex chambers FICCI and CII will converge at the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). The 8th edition of the Feb 5-6 summit will also witness the largest international delegation and may feature prominent figures like Mukesh Ambani and Sajjan Jindal.
Sources in FICCI and CII said almost 30 leading industry captains from across the country would attend the national executive council meetings of this mega business event. BGBS 2025 will kick off with these two meetings, which may also be attended by CM Mamata Banerjee for some time. Both meetings would be held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, the inaugural venue.
A senior industry leader said it was a rare convergence in the history of these apex chambers since independence that both meetings were coinciding. In the last 50 years, this has happened 5-6 times, and two of the venues were the 6th and 7th editions of BGBS.
