  • Sefton Brian Hill (born November ) is an English video game developer, director and writer and, with Jamie Walker, the co-founder of Rocksteady Studios. He served as game director for all three Batman: Arkham games developed by the studio, and served as co-writer for the Batman: Arkham City and the Batman: Arkham Knight, the final game in the series.

    Biography[]

    Hill started in the video game industry in , having previously worked as a creative designer and being involved in the production of various projects. He was the head of production at the now-defunct development studio Argonaut Edgware, owned by SCi Entertainment.[1] Following the company's shutdown, Hill and Argonaut's creative director Jamie Walker founded Rocksteady Studios Ltd. in Highgate, London, England in Much of Argonaut's staff was moved to the new company. The studio's first project was the video game Urban Chaos: Riot Response, which was under the working title Roll Call, whose suspended development resumed following Rocksteady's establishment.[2]

    Rocksteady Studios Limited is a British video game developer based in London. Founded on 13 December , the studio is best known for its work in the Batman: Arkham series. The company is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Games.

    Rocksteady Studios was founded by Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill, the former creative director and head of production at Argonaut Games. The publisher SCi Entertainment worked with Argonaut Games on the game Roll Call until the developer shut down in late [2] Walker and Hill founded Rocksteady on 13 December [3] In January , SCi announced that it had assigned Roll Call to the nacent studio, which by that time employeed 20 people, mostly former Argonaut Games staff, at its North London offices. The publisher acquired % of Rocksteady's shares and loaned the studio £,[2][4]Roll Call was soon renamed Zero Tolerance: City Under Fire and then Urban Chaos: Riot Response.[5][6] It was released in for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.[7]
